I’ve tried many a protein bar, some good, some awful *coughcoughSoyJoyYUCK*
In my weight loss efforts, I know I have to up my protein and also work on building muscle. I’ve not tried enough of these to give a review on that aspect, but as far as taste – amazingly good and keeps you filled up for a good while.

The bars taste good. Just like any other protein bar, you need some sort of liquid to get them down smoothly. The only reservation I have is that they melt really easily. Still totally edible, just not as transportable as some bars I’ve had in the past.

And as an amatuer weightlifter and fitness junkie, I’ve had hundreds. Pure Protein bars are pretty good in general, but the Peanut Butter flavor is by far the best.
5g net carbs and 30g of protein to boot.
Bar none, number 1.

This line of bars (all the flavors ) taste so yummy! For a protein bar they are very tasty. I especially like the peanut butter/chocolate one. They are almost $2 each at Trader Joes, and $98 cents at Walmart, but very hard to find in stock there. I’m buying in bulk…
Try some!

i used to eat power bars and luna bars- but after i found pure protein bars with 20 g of protein and less calories (170 calories) I made the switch… whenever i’m craving a candy bar- i eat one of the chocolate deluxe ones. which in my opinion is the best flavor.
the texture is soft and chewy- with the occasional chocolate chip chunk- and it’s super yummy. not too sweet and not bland at all…
the strawberry cheesecake is good when you want something yogurty- but after awhile the gooey strawberry goodness starts to taste a little plasticine.
the chocolate chip cookie- starts off good- like eating a bar of raw cookie dough- but after the first two bites it starts tasting a little “proteiny”. (a bland kinda gritty taste that i always associate with these kinds of bars)
the smores is definately my least favorite. biting into it is pleasurable- with it’s fluffy marshmallow top and soft graham crackery bottom… but it tastes a little odd… like marshmallow flavored plastic with a chocolatey coating. and the “proteiny” taste prevails once again.
if you’re leary of trying new things- stick with the chocolate and strawberry cheesecake variety.
don’t forget to drink 8 ounces of water – as the package says- cause it does seem to make you feel a little dehydrated if you neglect to do so.
as a yo yo dieter- i definately think this is the best meal replacement bar on the market- trust me- i’ve tried all of them while looking for the perfect “binge fix”.
